Epic Users Group Meeting, EPIC: The Musical! - September 20-23, 2010
Parker HealthcareIT's Cassie Thiessen and Janae Chryst will be attending Epic's User Group Meeting this year. Each year Epic hosts this exciting and highly anticipated event where they invite Epic users to headquarters for best practices, implementation, learning sessions, networking plus a host of other fun activities.
This year's theme is "Epic: The Musical!" We're excited to hear about Janae and Cassie's experience as well as see photos!

5th Annual Georgia HealthcareTrade Faire & Regional Conference
Be sure to mark your calendars to attend the HIMSS Georgia chapter's largest annual member event. The 5th annual Georgia Healthcare Trade Faire & Regional Conference, a full day event, will take place this year on Thursday, September 30th, 2010. The event will return to the beautiful Westin Peachtree Hotel in downtown Atlanta. The event runs from 7:30am to 4:00pm.

Northern California HiMSS Annual CIO Forum
The Northern California Chapter (NoCal HIMSS) is dedicated to the development of healthcare information technology professionals in Northern California. They serve 1,000+ members, as well as the Northern California healthcare community at large. They bring health care professionals together to promote the exchange of experiences and knowledge among colleagues, and to assist members in their professional growth.
This year's CIO Forum will be held September 30, 2010 at NorthBay HealthCare Conference Center in Fairfield, CA.

Center for IT Innovations in Healthcare Summit 2010 - October 25, 2010
The 4th Annual CITIH Summit will focus this year on "The Role of IT in Advancing Healthcare Delivery and Practice."
Join CITIH Monday October 25, 2010 as they bring together distinguished and solution-generating leadership, those involved in the evolution of healthcare technology, to gather, discuss and document healthcare IT. The objective of this symposium is to provide healthcare IT leaders, policy makers, researchers, and educators with an overview of the major themes and innovation areas contributing to the ability of healthcare organizations to advance health care delivery and practice in support of increased quality of care, improved clinical outcomes, and sustainable resource allocation and utilization.
This year's key note speaker is Atul Butte, MD, PhD. Dr. Butte has authored more than 80 publications in bioinformatics, medical informatics, and molecular diabetes, and has delivered more than 110 invited presentations world-wide on bioinformatics, including 20 at the National Institutes of Health or NIH-related meetings.
The Ohio State University Center for IT Innovations in Healthcare (CITIH) engages in research, development, and evaluation activities intended to yield innovative IT informatics platforms for use by the healthcare and biomedical sciences community. CITIH’s fundamental mission is to investigate unsolved problems in biomedical science and healthcare delivery and solve these problems by applying IT solutions developed by CITIH researchers as well as external collaborators.
