Position Description

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Lead Applications Specialist Clinical SIS for our client in the Los Angeles, CA area. Our client will pay relocation expenses. As a Lead Application Specialist you will be responsible for the effective coordination of all activities necessary to implement any and all information systems. This includes managing the following project tasks: requirement definition, process redesign, vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, implementation coordination and transition to support. You will also be responsible for developing and managing project budgets as well as for status reports and escalation of critical issues. In this role you will coordinate communication between all project team members, ensures vendor responsiveness and compliance with the terms of the contract and coordinate initial user training and transition to an ongoing user support group.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate experience in project management and systems analysis; this includes: organizing and managing resources to complete a project within defined scope, quality, time and cost constraint
  • Expert capabilities and skills working with detailed technical tools and technologies
  • High degree of expertise in developing staff
  • Moderate level of expertise in working with vendors and developing strategic vendor plans and alliances
  • Moderate degree of expertise in developing strategic focus
  • Moderate level of expertise in recruiting and retaining talented employees
  • Moderate expertise in budget assumptions, development and management
  • Familiarity with current issues and functionality of electronic identification systems for medications
Experience
  • BS degree in technical field preferred
  • Requires at least three (3) years professional experience in managing system implementations, preferably in a health care organization
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and project development and management software
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Working knowledge of network, infrastructure and client/server applications or a comparative level of education
