Position Description

Our client is located in Los Angeles, CA and is looking for multiple principal trainers for permanent placement. Their multiple needs include: candidates certified in Orders, ClinDocs, EpicRx, ASAP, and Cadence. This is an internationally known facility that is considered one of the top rated care facilities in the nation. They are one of the largest non-profit hospitals in the Western United States. You would get to enjoy being involved in creating teaching materials, managing classrooms, leading activities, and coaching your participants.
Responsibilities
  • Create course design documents based on job, task, user, environmental analysis
  • Develop end-user and facilitator training materials from course design documents
  • Develop content incorporating SMEs input into clearly written and structured materials
  • Prioritize critical content and incorporate it in all materials
  • Create participant-centered training materials supporting course objectives
  • Adhere to appropriate style guides
  • Provide facilitation expertise for interactive, activity-driven courses
  • Co-facilitate with content matter instructors to ensure learning and a cohesive program
  • Manage classroom and participants to achieve outcomes
  • Lead activities in a collaborative manner
  • Coach and give feedback to participants
  • Remain flexible and adjust activities and content to meet participant profiles
  • Provide input for modifications to course content and activities
  • Help market training classes
  • Create and maintain training environment with realistic scenarios for classroom instruction
Experience
  • MUST be certified in the primary Epic training module to be considered as a candidate.
  • Principal Trainer Certification is a plus.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Los Angeles. This is a permanent placement position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in adult education, instructional design, or related field with strong healthcare experience or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare field (e.g. nursing) with strong adult education and instructional design experience.
  • Minimum of three years experience in project management, instructional design, training and development or equivalent combination of education and experience. Project Management certification is an added bonus for consideration.
  • Strong clinical background is also attractive to the client.
